One of the highlights of the Brighton and Hove Festival of Food and Drink - a hugely popular event at Moshi Moshi in conjunction with Redwood Foods and several of Brighton's top chefs - the Vegan Maki competition. Winners were The Chilli Pickle, with runners up Hotel du Vin and Moshi Moshi. Guests varied from delighted vegans who were relishing an evening out with a great menu choice to confirmed meat eaters who also enjoyed the experience. They included many familiar Brighton foodies, hoteliers and restauranteurs amongst them, including Phil Lewis of Hotel du Vin, Olivia Reid of Brighton's top vegetarian restaurant, Terre a Terre, Tina Horvath of Cantina, Graphic Foodie, Fran, Latest Magazine's Andrew Kay, Food Festival director Nick Mosley, JoJo Huxster of Vegan in Brighton, James Ledward of G Scene, Lewis Huxley of Fine Dining Lovers as well as Lee Rockingham of Redwood Foods, Heather Mills of V Bites, musicians Johnny Others and Alan Donohoe of The Rakes.
