DISCOVERY MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with Discovery in Brighton’s Jubilee Square. Mexicans all over the world celebrate with good food, music, dancing, piñatas and competitions, so here’s your chance to join in the fun! Following the success of last year’s event, Jubilee Square will once again be transformed with Discovery Food stalls, Mexican flags, balloons and fun for the whole family.  What’s more, on Saturday, Strictly Come Dancing’s most successful dance duo; Darren and Lilia will be performing a Latin show dance and hosting a group salsa lesson at 11.15am. Discovery will be offering a delicious array of dishes, from the perfect fajita – succulent chicken or vegetables wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, topped with guacamole, salsa and soured cream, to tasty beef tacos garnished with a variety of mouth watering toppings. We have gathered local wine experts, restaurants and wine merchants to make their case for their favourite wine or best kept secret bottle! Join Andrew Kay who will be host and judicator whilst wine experts battle it out and spend ONLY six minutes convincing you why their chosen wine is the best. These wines must all retail under £15.

All you have to do is listen, sample the wines and take notes.Platters of food will be served courtesy of Thorne's Foods.

Each table will vote for their favourite wine and at the end of the evening one wine will be declared the overall winner.

One lucky winner will be drawn from the score sheets and win one bottle of every wine tasted that evening.
